Dear Laziness

17 Jun

Dear Laziness,

You fathom lethargic temptations of duvet days draped in eiderdown amidst the snoring sounds dribbling out from mouths and by sheer serendipity make the sounds of silence sweetest to the lazy few who find themselves still trapped in bed at half past two on Monday afternoons. Powerless people slump their lifeless corpses into your every whim, you tyrant king of unwilling subjects who face this brainwashed slumber for eternity. How cruel to catch the cradled babe and anchor down with chains, enslaved by lazy days and uncompleted dreams.

Don’t torment and tempt me,

Your eternal humble servant,

FC
